Could you tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m a singer/songwriter. After I performed at my third grade talent show, my parents realized I had a real talent. For my tenth birthday they gave me singing lessons. After that, I began embracing my passion for music and started playing the guitar and ukulele, dancing, and songwriting. Later I made it into a group called L2M. From there I started writing my own music. My debut solo song “Us” is coming out and I’m super excited!
How did you discover your passions through music?
I’ve always had a passion for music. My parents told me I danced before I walked. When I was a baby I would bounce up and down to the beat of the music. I also grew up listening to christian/gospel music. I was always singing either in church or in the shower.
How did you start out on social media?
At first I had social media just for fun. I posted a few covers here and there so my friends could listen. Then I started growing and gaining a fan base on the Musical.ly app. After that, I decided to take social media seriously and looked at it as a way to connect with people as well as spread the word and message I want people to hear.
What is your favorite social media platform?
Instagram for sure! I’m able to talk to my fans and show them my love for music.
What are some tips you would tell your fans about the social media world?
I would tell my fans to ignore the hate. I have to deal with it on the daily, but in the end, it never really bothers me. I have to remind myself of all the love I need to spread instead of being held back by negativity. Fans have the capability of making an impact by reaching out to others and even making friends! Always look on the bright side of things and don’t beat yourself down because of social media.
What do you enjoy most about singing and posting covers?
Singing acoustically with an instrument is my favorite thing to do in my free time. If I’m able to put something out there that I love to do and people want to hear it, that’s what I’m going to do. To make it fun for my listeners I always ask for song requests. It’s a great way to connect with them and show them I care about their opinions.
What has been your favorite experience during your career so far?
Writing my upcoming EP was a experience I will never forget. Ii’s my debut EP I wanted to make it as real as possible. I feel like I really poured my whole heart out into the music.
What is your biggest dream in the future?
To go on my own world tour. I’d love to travel the world, meet my fans, and use everything in me to perform for them. I’d be great to give them a night to remember and make an impact with an inspiring message.
Where is your dream city to perform?
My dream city to perform in is London. I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to perform there this month opening up for Max &Harvey. It’s such a beautiful city and reminds me of a dream!
if you could collaborate with someone dead or alive who would it be and why?
I would love to collaborate with Ed Sheeran. His lyrics always touch me in a way I can’t even explain. I’m very interested in his writing processes and would love to see him in action.
