EXCLUSIVE: Interview With The Reasn

The Reasn is an exciting artist who effortlessly fuses elements of rock, R&B, and pop to create his own unique sound and today he has shared his brand new single ‘Slow’ ahead of his new album slated for an early 2019 release.

Here we speak exclusively to the fast rising artist to discuss his latest release ‘Slow’:

Can you tell us a little about the writing process for your new single Slow?

I don’t ever write lyrics down on paper for any song. It all comes from personal experiences and things I’ve seen. So when I heard the production I loved the song and it reminded me of a moment in my life that I had with someone.

What is the inspiration behind the track?

Just pressing new sound boundaries, trying new things and starting a new wave of sound

What are you hoping fans take from the song?

That there’s something new coming. I hope they take away that this is real life that I put into music and that they feel the emotion of the song.

Can we expect a music video for the single?

Yes in February

You regularly fuse a number of genres, can we expect the same from you on ‘Slow’?

Yes, every track is gonna be a mix of genres cuz I grew up listening to many styles of music

Who have you worked with to create the single?

I worked with my team of upcoming producers, Joei Jo and Sir Issace Da Inventor, to create this new wave

How would you describe the overall vibe of ‘Slow’?

There’s a special, almost eerie, feel to it, a touch of old and a lot of new. It puts you in the situation and makes you feel like you’re a part of the song.

What are you hoping to achieve with the track

I’m showing me on every track. This new wave I’m bringing and my new album I believe will change things in R&B and pop and form a new genre of alternative music to press boundaries.
