Hey Dynamyte! Can you tell us the story behind the songwriting sessions for ‘Show Me You’?
I just wrote it by myself in my bedroom! I made a demo in Garageband and then my brother recorded and produced it in his apartment.
How did it feel to have a song so personal to you get the remix treatment? Was it hard to relinquish control?
So cool! I definitely am more of a throwbacky person, so hearing my music super dancey is always startling, but in the best way. It’s amazing how different productions make such a large impact in the song’s overall sound.
When can we expect the remixes to go live? Where/when would you recommend we listen to them first? (e.g. in a club, alone in our bedrooms, etc.)
Normally club, but because of COVID, dance party in your bedroom! They’re out now :)
Who are some artists around today who you would want to collaborate with? Why? Any from the past and why?
Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Bruno Mars, Jessie J, and Paul McCartney…my biggest inspirations!!
How about your non-musical inspirations?
Simone Biles. She’s such an icon. Literally the real-life Wonderwoman.
What plans do you have for the rest of the year? Can we expect any live shows from you soon?
Lots of new music on the way!! And hopefully when the world opens up more, live shows! Can’t wait!
