We’re excited to premiere the music video for John Galea’s recently released song “Honesty”. The song is taken from his EP titled “Missing Pages”; the song was released as an official single on 2 September 2017.
Now, after just over a month from the single release, we get to reveal the music video exclusively to you. John Galea has been building up his career ever since he started releasing music in 2011. He started writing music at just 13 years old, who knew that he’d go on to record with some top producers in the business? He has worked with the likes of Los Angeles’ based Beluga Heights, known for working with Jason Derulo and Britney Spears; Grammy-nominated production team The Monarch, known for working with Rita Ora and Chris Brown; as well as, Frankmusic, known for working with Ellie Goulding and Erasure as well as his own career.
“Honesty” was co-written by Frankmusik and has quite the sunshine vibe to it. It’s beyond catchy and one we totally would add to our playlists. It’s upbeat and positive, with John Galea claiming that all he needs is truth and honesty when it comes to love; something we can all relate to and agree with.
Of the song, John Galea said: “‘Honesty’ is all about one of the most important things you can have in a relationship, one of the main building blocks I’ve learnt I can’t do without. In my past relationships, it hasn’t always been there and I’ve seen the destruction that causes… Musically, I’ve never been so honest as in my last EP & it feels so good to open up about everything and be myself.”
The music video keeps the positive vibe in every single way. We watch John Galea perform at Sundown Festival 2017, allowing him to re-live one of his proudest moments; whilst taking us back to festival season and showcasing Sundown Festival brilliantly.
Of the festival, John Galea posted on his blog, saying: “Wow! A massive shout out goes to all you amazing Sundown Festival goers. As a Norfolk born kid who went to school in Norwich this gig really felt like a homecoming one. It was my first major festival & it really was something special playing main stage with my amazing band. As an unsigned/independent artist sharing the same stage as artists such as the amazing Craig David, Rag’n’Bone Man & Wiley was brilliant. Just goes to show never give up on your dreams – anything is possible!”
