As a part of his new EP ‘Leo Stannard & Friends (Live At RAK)’, 21-year-old Leo Stannard has covered the iconic song ‘Mr. Brightside’ with Janet Devlin. To celebrate the release of the EP, CelebMix gives you an exclusive first-look at the project with the video for Leo and Janet’s incredible cover of ‘Mr. Brightside’.
‘Leo Stannard & Friends’ is a three-track EP of acoustic covers, which is due to be released tomorrow, 8th September, via Black Butter Records. The EP is a collection of his most-loved tracks and they were all recorded and filmed live at RAK studios. Aside from Janet Devlin, Leo is collaborating with Paradisia and Nathan Ball.
“I’ve created a covers EP where I’ve worked with three different artists on three different songs. The whole thing from rehearsals, to recording and filming, was done in 24 hours so it feels really live and in the moment,” Leo says about the EP. “None of us had ever met before this day as well so it was a pretty unique experience to make music this way; to meet someone, try and get to know them a bit first and then go straight into making the music. I loved it!”
