Andrea Di Giovanni is fast rising Italian singer-songwriter. The singer is originally from Italy, and is now living in London. He is currently gearing up for the release his brand new single ‘Our Own Way’ which will be dropping on Friday, April 20th.
Giovanni takes a lot of inspiration from the likes of Whitney Houston, Mary J Blige, Michael Jackson and Queen. He started singing lessons when he was 8-years-old and although he respected his mother’s wishes and finished his education, it wasn’t long before Andrea was making a name for himself withing the Italian music industry.
He was chosen as the face of Song4Life, a national alcohol awareness campaign and participating in the TV show Amici di Maria de Filippi, he began to carve out his own story. Since moving to London, the singer has enrolled in the British Institute of Modern Music to fine-tune his craft. He’s since gone on to perform at The O2 in Shepherds Bush, Pride Festival in Brighton and the legendary performance series Sofar Sounds
But before he shares his latest release with the world, the multi talented singer/songwriter has decided to cover Raye’s hit single ‘Decline’. Speaking about his cover of the track, Andrea Di Giovanni says: “Being a massive fan of R&B music, as soon as this bop from RAYE came out, I was hooked with it. After the Christmas holidays I’ve decided to create a slightly stripped back version of the song; after talking to my friend and Swedish producer Tannergaard we decided to get into the studio to record it together with our guitarist, Linus Håkansson. I love the playful attitude that comes with the track, not only girls have to deal with messy ex boyfriends”.
