You may recognise Bloom De Wilde from the hit pop act Sam and the Womp who had big chart hits with singles ‘Bom Bom’ and ‘Zeppelin’ several years ago. The former front-woman of the group, Bloom has now launched her solo career with the quirky new single ‘Animal Spirit’.
Her musical style has so far been likened to that of international superstar Bjork. The new release is the first of two from the London-based songwriter with both tracks inspired by life, art, nature and all the elements of love and life around her.
Speaking about moving to London from Holland, Bloom says: “I came to London as an art exchange student at central ST.Martins.. I was supposed to stay only a few months but fell in love with London so deeply that going back seemed impossible. I started going to drum n bass parties – the fast rhythms and deep dark bass lines matched my state of mind and excitement”
Here we are able to bring you the world exclusive premiere of Bloom De Wilde’s eccentric, and slightly bonkers but equally brilliant debut single ‘Animal Spirit’;
The track will be available to download from tomorrow (Friday, March 9th). Make sure you follow Bloom on Twitter @bloomdewilde to keep up to date with all her latest music and tour news!
