Since their formation, Cubs Refrain have been meticulously writing, recording, and self-producing their debut LP titled ‘Tell Me You Love Me’ which is set to be released in the coming months.
Their indie-pop/rock brand of electronica draws influence from groups such as CHVRCHES, Oh Wonder, and M83. But with their sweeping melodies, driving rhythms and strong lead vocals from both band members, Cubs refrain and constantly re-imagining how indie-rock and synth-pop collide.
And now the fast rising duo are back with their brand new single; ‘We Almost Failed, Brian (Epilogue II)’. Speaking about the track, the pair said; “This song is a reflection, reminiscing on a first love and why it wasn’t right. It speaks to allowing yourself to move on, and not let something be more than it was. The song is the second of a two-part epilogue, which brings the album to a bittersweet close”.
