DAYVID is an exciting, fast rising pop-crooner who bursts onto the scene this week with the release of his debut single ‘Sure Of Me’. The track has been lifted off the rising star’s upcoming inaugural album ‘No Signal’ which is expect for release in Winter of 2019.
The song’s chorus implements fiery synth riffs backed with vibrant lyrical emotions and feelings of longing for self-assurance. “Two steps back, unravelling, twisted roads and tragedies; I’m just out here dying to find me,” DAYVID sombrely expresses. His transparent display of internal conflict offers a rare vulnerability, and a sense of much-needed belonging combined with breathy melodic intensity influenced by artists such as Justin Timberlake.
Speaking about the inspiration behind his first single, DAYVID says: “I moved to Los Angeles before I was 18, and lived alone. It was a struggle to find myself. I was writing a lot, but I couldn’t find my voice until I realized that I should write about what I was going through. I worried about whether
and when I would become sure of myself. I brought this idea to my songwriting collaborators, Zac Poor and Ameerah, and producer Morgan Taylor Reid we created this song”.
