Dominique De Beau is an exciting rising talent whose pop and afro-infusion combine to create a totally unique sound that fans and critics alike are falling in love.
For her latest release ‘Ready For Me’, De Beau teams up with the renowned artist Ayo Beatz. The track has a hint of sweet with a dash of spice and is a no nonsense, straight talking, song that pulls no punches.
It once again merges pop and afrobeat influences to create a tantalisingly infectious mix which is combined with majestic hooks and melodies. This is a track that is seriously catching fire in the pop-afrobeats world and Dominique De Beau is ready to take the world by storm.
Speaking about the video concept for ‘Ready For Me’, Dominque says: “Ready For Me video concept really came about to express the lyrics of the song. The track is a girl power song and we wanted the video to reflect this. A wonderful gorgeous young woman out with her friends having fun when her man who has been previously playing away from home comes along and wants to talk and try and win her heart back. The song shows me and my girlfriends telling him he is no good and to go away. The creative process involved preparing outfits, working with a choreographer and dancers to create a part of the video which would show strength and then getting a good party crowd together for the club scenes. It was filmed in a club in Kingston and really was a lot of fun it was great seeing everyone up dancing to the tune…. Which features at the end of the video. The whole idea was to turn a negative situation between a guy and girl into a positive one and create a party atmosphere. I think we achieved that. Hope everyone enjoys it.”
