Eyes Eat Suns are an impressive, fast rising pop/rock duo hailing from North Carolina and now based in Los Angeles. They are the brainchild of Ayisa Adderley and Caige Crampshee.
Eyes Eat Suns, is an independent project and the two band members were first connected by a mutual friend who asked the two to perform at a Habitat for Humanity event. They immediately hit it off and Eyes Eat Suns was born.
Since that night Adderley and Crampshee have written and recorded three EPs and performed across North America, from festivals to DIY shows. And are now ready to share their brand new single ‘Up In Flames’ tomorrow (February 1st).
The track which shares similar vibes to hits from the likes of DNCE, and Paramore, has a bubbly intro which the swiftly transitions into optimistive vocals, and has a crisp, and dance-worthy production.
Lead vocalist and songwriter Ayisa Adderley is unapologetic with lyrics that make us all want to lose the bullshit of previous years and light up the world with ambition. Eyes Eat Suns wants their fans to know that they are no longer taking “no” for an answer.
It’s an impressive offering from a band who are well and truly making waves around the world. Speaking about the single, Ayisa says: “This track is definitely something new for us. It’s expanding on ‘Fix Me’ sound wise, and definitely taking a step further, lyrically. Last year, we dealt with a lot of setbacks as a band, as well as in our personal life. This song summarizes everything we went through because it lit a fire under our asses. Everything went up in flames, metaphorically speaking. But, we are using that momentum to keep pushing forward.”
