Fast rising Brazilian born musician Micah Elloh’s greatest wish is to make people think and feel through his music, and his debut single ‘Give Me More’ did just that. The pop star has no lack of creativity or drive, and penned well over 200 songs during his school years.
But it hasn’t all been plain sailing for Elloh. As an international student with no work permit, he was unable to professionally record or release his music, but thankfully that has now all changed. Michah was granted permission to work in the US, and six months later he found the perfect producer to begin work on his first studio album.
Speaking about making his LP, Michah Elloh says: “When I first came to Los Angeles to record my album I had a good chunk of songs I wanted to record. I honestly didn’t expect to get inspired by the local celebrity mentality, nor did I want to write about it. I thought that the stereotypical image everyone has of LA was likely blown up out of proportion. After being in it for a full year I can honestly say, the fame culture is real and is brutal. Being in a city in which you experience such high highs and low lows did wonders for me creatively though. I learned a lot about myself, about human nature and wrote more than I’ve ever had in a year. I have so many songs about fame that I’ll probably never release, people would roll their eyes every time I put a new track out (haha).
And now he is ready to give fans a taste of his debut record with the release of his brand new single ‘How Could I Know That’ A brilliant pop infused dance hit that is a sure-fire summer smash-hit. Micah opened up about the inspiration behind the track saying: “My second single “How Could I Know That” is inspired by what I observed, experienced and stories I’ve heard. The song comes from a naive perspective and asking yourself the question “how could I know that this is actually how people treat each other here?” Being disposable is normal in this town, a lot of people are always looking for a better version of what they have”.
