Fast rising Berlin based singer/songwriter Russell Swallow is currently gearing up for the release of his brand new EP which will be dropping on the 3rd of August. The new record follows the hugely successful release of his debut EP last year.

Since moving to Berlin from London, Swallow has really found his true musical style and has an exciting freedom that he was not used to while living in the UK. Speaking about his move, Russell says:  “Everybody has a North London Girl. Somebody they invest too much into, to the point where they hurt themselves. This is the closest I’ve reached to an atobiographical song. Frank and direct, as only heartbreak can truly be. Music allows us to transform the ugliest of situations into something beautiful, and the most familiar terrain into unexplored territories. This story of failed romance is partially what inspired me to focus on writing my first solo record, and to satisfy a long held dream to move to Berlin to discover new sounds, and experiences. Each experience can be transformative, if we keep playing and singing though the light and the dark”

And, now Russell Swallow is back with his brand new single ‘North London Girl’. The track is the first taste of the upcoming EP and features vocals from the multi talented Kimberly Anne.

Speaking about the release of his latest track, Swallow says: “I’m fresh back from a sleepless week of festivals in Germany, and so bloody relieved (and happily surprised) to find London is still serving up the same gorgeous Summer weather. I’m very excited to be releasing the second single from my forthcoming EP, and especially as it features a fantastically talented artist that I’m proud to call my friend”.
