Sonia Stein is an exciting, fast rising artist from London, UK who has recently released her soulful new single ‘Lover’. The track has been produced by produced by Liam Howe (FKA Twigs, Adele, Jessie Ware) and it deftly showcases her extensive vocal range and overall talent as a performer.
The new release follows previous singles ‘Do You Love Me’, ‘One of Those Things’, ‘Muse’ and ‘Change Shapes’, which now have more than 3-million combined views on You Tube and over half a million Spotify streams.
And along with As well as being busy in the recording studio for most of 2018 finishing off her debut album set for release next year, Sonia Stein has also taken her enchanting live set to the Great Escape alongside a Sofar Sounds live tour. Stein has also previously tour supported the likes of Betsy and Alice Jemima and has just finished touring in Europe with Alice Merton.
And now the Londoner is ready to share the official music video for latest single ‘Lover’. The clip was filmed at London’s Kew Gardens in The Palm House by director Aaron Bevan- Bailey. It is shot in black and white and also features two professional dancers Pheonix and Jordan who represent an intertwined, symbiotic and tender relationship.
Speaking about the ‘Lover’ visual, Sonia says: “We imagined a very lush environment but instead of seeing it in colour, making it black and white so the eye is drawn to shapes and textures in all shades of white, grey and black. It’s about looking at something we are used to seeing a little differently, which connects to the theme of the song as well.”
