J.T. Bridges, better known as Tay, is a singer/songwriter from New Orleans, Louisiana. Having grown up in and around music, at the age of 14, Tay decided to pursue a career in music. He began honing his talents by singing in an R&B-rap duo and in 2018, began pursuing a solo career. His debut EP, ‘Butterflies & Bees’, was released September 8th, 2018.
To kick off 2019 with a bang, Tay has just released his brand new track, ‘Clarity’. A blend of R&B, neo-soul, and pop, his vocals are complimented by nothing but a guitar and Tay surrenders his sincerity and vulnerability in this track.
Tay’s music follows the story of a young man’s struggle with mental health; he tackles themes of emotional detachment, depression, and most importantly, recovery. His new single allows listeners to let go and even seek clarity in their lives. ‘Clarity’ comes through acceptance, and that is the message Tay is delivering with this track.
Following this new release, Tay’s second EP ‘A&A’ is set to be released in the Spring – we can’t wait!
