Fast rising Scottish artist Tommy Ashby is gearing up for the release of his brand new single ‘Steady Hand’ which drops tomorrow (Friday, March 29th).
This is the second single to be lifted off the singer/songwriter’s eagerly anticipated forthcoming EP ‘GoldenA Arrow’ which is slated for an April, 2019 release via Wow and Flutter Records. The record promises to be an eclectic mix of sounds that will showcase Ashby’s revolutionary style.
The new track has been mixed and produced by Garmmy award winning producer Sam Okell and is drenched in alluring textures and builds with a snappy percussion and soaring, lush guitar strings.
Speaking about ‘Steady Hand’, Tommy Ashby says: “It’s very easy as a musician to feel a bit disconnected from the world. You travel to amazing countries, but you are not a tourist. You are also not working in any one place long enough to put down roots. This song came at the end of an incredible, yet intense five month tour as a session player for Ed Sheeran; I’d spent a lot of time wandering through the towns and cities, watching everyone go about their lives, and it left me feeling like a bit of a ghost. I think it is no surprise that mental health issues are prevalent in the music industry, where there are so few constants and everything is always changing. I think touring can leave musicians craving routine as much as 9-5 jobs can leave people wanting to escape it!
Here at CelebMix we are thrilled to be able to bring you the world exclusive premiere of ‘Steady Hand’ before its official release tomorrow:
