EXO’s KAI brings the heat in a MAJOR way this week with the release of his alluring new single ‘Adult Swim’ – a captivating dance pop bop taken from the singers upcoming fourth mini-album, ‘Wait On Me’ which is scheduled to drop on April 21st, 2025.
Built around a simple yet irresistible drum loop, the upbeat track – co-produced by American singer and producer MAX (BTS, LE SSERAFIM, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER) – uses dreamy, oceanic imagery to symbolise the “deep and immersive emotions of love, portraying two people diving in together without fear”.
Filmed on location in Thailand, the singles accompanying music video sees KAI relaxing and dancing poolside with a group of friends, performing slick, intricate choreography both solo and with dancer / model Tita Betancourt.

With its laid-back yet mesmerising groove, ‘Adult Swim’ lays the groundwork for KAI’s eagerly awaited comeback, perfectly demonstrating a logical development of his artistic abilities.
His most recent EP’s main hit, ‘Rover’ became viral on TikTok and was later listed as one of DAZED’s 50 greatest K-pop songs of 2023. His follow-up single, ‘Peaches’ topped the iTunes Album Charts in 58 territories, whilst his debut solo single, ‘Mmmh’ established several YouTube records, including the fastest solo debut music video from a male K-pop artist to reach 10 million views.
In Korea, all three of his albums have received Platinum certification.
Alongside the release of ‘Wait On Me’, KAI will take his act on the road this spring with a 10-city solo tour 2025 KAI SOLO CONCERT TOUR <KAION>, before returning to the UK in June to perform at SMTOWN Live in London at Allianz Twickenham Stadium.
Set to take place Saturday June 28th, the epic stadium concert, in celebration of SM Entertainment’s 30th anniversary, also features over a dozen other K-pop stars, including fellow EXO members SUHO and CHANYEOL, as well as NCT, aespa, RIIZE, Red Velvet, and more.
