This weekend (10-12th August) CelebMix celebrated International Vlogging Weekend at Summer In The City for their 10th anniversary, held at ExCel London.
Saturday August 11th was full of laughter and happiness from many YouTube viewers. There were many YouTube creators around the venue including the likes of Saffron Barker, Anastasia Kingsnorth and New Hope Club. At the event there were plenty of different activities to do and many creators to meet at their merchandise stands, as well as the meet and greet area.
CelebMix attended a fashion and beauty panel with Anastasia Kingsnorth, Luna Leigh, MakeupJunkieG and Helen Anderson. The girls were chatting about why they had each started YouTube and Anastasia Kingsnorth stated that she ‘used it as an escape to express my creativity’. This was a really encouraging statement for the audience as it shows them that everybody experiences the same things growing up.
We then visited the merchandise stands and met Carmie from the YouTube channel Touchdalight, before meeting Brandon from the YouTube channel Brandonio. Both YouTubers were lovely to meet and very willing to have a conversation with their fans which is always lovely to see. Meanwhile on the fashion and beauty stage, Grace & Grace were answering questions from the audience in a Q&A session. One question asked ‘How do you edit your videos?’, with both of the girls admitted that they ‘still edit on the phones on iMovie’.
CelebMix then went to the main stage to watch the acts that were performing. There were a range of acts including an orchestra, singers, boybands and comedians. A screaming crowd pumped the acts full of adrenaline with their jumping around the stage making the night memorable for both them and the audience. The crowd of screaming girls went crazy for the five piece boyband Roadtrip and then again for the English boy band New Hope Club.
