Jacksepticeye, otherwise known as Jack or by his real name Sean, is an Irish video game commentator who regularly uploads videos on YouTube. When we say regularly, we mean it. He uploads two videos every day, that’s fourteen each week! Now that’s a whole lot of dedication. Jack is known for his bubbly, energetic personality and his luminous green hair.
Aside from him being known for the points above, Jack promotes optimism and joy through his channel which is some of what people go there for, as well as his gameplay. While watching one of his videos, you feel like more than just a viewer. Jack feels like a friend that’s always there, one you can always count on. No matter the video length, you’re able to drown out the world and drop into Jacksepticeye’s for a little bit. He’s genuine and takes what he does seriously which is evident in the content he creates.
One of the things us here at CelebMix love the most about Jacksepticeye is his community. The JSE Community are one of the most kind, caring and genuinely interested audiences we’ve ever encountered. They’re engaged with the content being uploaded and are incredibly respectful to Jack, as well as to each other. Jack and the community are there for each other whenever they need it.

CelebMix took the time to speak to some Jacksepticeye fans from a variety of countries, and this is what they had to say.
Rose, 21, USA – “I’ve been subscribed to Jack only for a few months now, but in that short time I’ve been on so many journeys, heard so many stories, and made a great friend. It’s kind of like he’s driving a car. I’m in the front seat and we’re just hanging out, going on an adventure together. We don’t really know what we’re gonna see or do but we know we’re here to help each other out no matter what. Sometimes it’s exhilarating, and sometimes it’s scary, and sometimes we cry, but we always make time to laugh. We learn lessons and tell stories, and did I mention there are about 14 million people in the back seat along for the ride with us? It’s community of people full of love and support and creativity that inspire me to be a better person, and our figurehead could not be a more perfect fit. He’s a green-haired beacon of positivity and light, driving this car down a road that leads to a warm and safe place, and of course, yelling the whole way there.”
Kaela, 14, England – “I first started watching Jack back in 2014 when I was going through a really tough space with my mental health. Throughout those 3 years, Jack has constantly reminded me that I am wanted, that I belong somewhere. I wake up in the morning and the first thing I do is watch one of Jack’s videos because his happiness and joy gives me hope that it will be okay. Even though the only interaction we’ve had is via a few tweets, I feel like a friend to jack, not just a viewer. Jack reminds me that it’s okay to not be okay, but you have to have bad days to enjoy the good. I’ve never had so much respect for someone than I do with Jack. He is such an inspiration to so many people in so many different ways. I love Jack with all my heart and he honestly deserves the world.”
Tris, USA – “The reason I watch Jack reaches far beyond entertainment. Jack’s videos have distracted me from the bad thoughts that I have in my head, and all around makes me a happier person. I also watch to see Jack grow, and develop as a person and as a creator. He has come so far, and I couldn’t be prouder of him.”
Ashlee, 17, USA – “The reason why I like Jacksepticeye? Now I know people hear the typically “oh he makes me laugh and makes any bad day better” and yes that’s all true but I love him because he’s not afraid to be different, he’s not afraid of what people think. Because in this society no matter who you are you’ll always have someone who dislikes you cause no ones perfect, and Jack is far from perfect and that’s what makes him perfect. He showed me that’s it’s okay to be different, to stand out in a crowd, to be the odd one out. I love him because he shows people that they need to be proud of who you are and not to change for anyone. Jack changes lives, and he changed mine.”
June, 16, Netherlands – “I’ve been watching Jack for almost 4 months now. I found him through my friend, who showed me ‘Cool Patrol’ by Ninja Sex Party and I immediately fell in love the green-haired bean. I started watching his vlogs, Reading Your Comments and Happy Wheels. He makes me laugh when no one else can. I remember watching a video with an Anti glitch and I freaked out because I had no idea what that was. My friend explained it and I thought (still think) it’s amazing. So here I am, giffing his videos for around 2 months and feeling a lot better. He just has that vibe that always cheers me up. I want to thank him in person and tell him how he changed me and my view on everything. Thank you for everything Jack :)”
James, 15, USA – “I love Jacksepticeye because he’s a positive influence in my life. I started religiously watching him when I was in a really bad depressive state, and it helped me so much to just have someone that I could laugh and experience games with. One of the best things about him is that he’s very genuine, so I feel like I can really connect with him, even if our personalities aren’t necessarily similar. He’s helped me to become a better and generally happier person overall. I appreciate him for everything that he’s done for me.”
Georgia, 17, UK – “I first started watching Jacksepticeye a few months ago and ever since I’ve been hooked. His constant optimism is infectious and it’s something I like to have around. One of the things I like most about Jack is how although he promotes happiness and joy, he doesn’t completely exclude that people can feel down sometimes. Instead, he offers the channel as a safe space for people to go to, and that’s something I admire and appreciate him for. I like just being able to watch his game play too. As someone who, too, enjoys playing video games, it’s cool to see other people’s thought process into the way they play and what kind of tactics they use, if any! Ultimately, I wholly appreciate Jacksepticeye and all he’s done. I’d love to meet him someday. He’s that friend you could lean on for anything, and you’d do the same back.”

I watch his videos because they entertain me and they are always able to make me smile, to make me laugh, and happy.”

Laura, 21, UK – “There are many reasons why I love Jack! He’s really sweet and he cares about the community, and he’s not afraid to show it. He works amazingly hard, sticking to his schedule and making the best videos that he can for us. He hardly ever gets a break because he works so hard! Even with all the work he puts into his content, he still takes the time to interact with us on social media. Not only that, but the content he makes is always good! Another reason why I love Jack is because he’s so funny, and he makes puns – which I love. He’s not afraid to be himself, either, which can show others that it’s okay to be who you are. He encourages us and believes in us, and him saying so has really helped me. He spreads positivity and kindness to everyone, and he makes people smile and laugh every day even if it seems impossible – he’s done that for me many times. His encouragement even gave me the confidence to do vlogs and gaming videos on YouTube, which I now love! I also love his Irish accent and his green hair! But I would still love him without those things. Jack is just an amazing human being and I’m so happy that he exists. I honestly believe that there would be peace in the world if everyone was as loving, empathetic and accepting as Jack. He’s my hero and he inspires me every day.”
