If you are a fan of Fifth Harmony, you are well aware of just how much of an incredible person Lauren Jauregui really is. She is known for her fiery spirit and for always taking a stand on what she believes in. Lauren has stood behind the LGBTQ+ community on multiple occasions but this time she has revealed that she is actually apart of the community herself!
Yes, thats right! Lauren Jauregui revealed that she is bisexual in an open note she shared with Billboard.
“I am a bisexual Cuban-American woman and I am so proud of it. I am proud to be part of a community that only projects love and education and the support of one another.”
We are so proud of Lauren for coming out and expressing her true self! She has even received many praise from not only fans, but other celebs as well:

“I am proud to be a woman. Proud that the sex between my thighs provides a strength and resilience in me that only other women can feel, that my body curves in ways that allow me to create life within me, that my entire life is filled with adversity and doubt and people questioning my intelligence and my artistic potential and my expression of myself and my virtue and honor because I am too much woman. I am proud that I get to prove them all wrong. I am proud that I have to work even harder for it. I was raised to feel that I can do ANYTHING, and I will always believe that.”
Lauren shares why she is proud to be a woman in such a beautiful and poetic perspective. Being that most of her fan base is made up of girls, this is a strong a powerful message she is sending them. Being a woman means you have to work a little harder, but she believes woman can do anything and being a woman is something to be proud of.
“I am proud to feel the whole spectrum of my feelings and I will gladly take the label of “bitch” and “problematic” for speaking my mind the same way any man would be admired and respected for doing. But, I will also extend the fullest hand of compassion and empathy for anyone labeling me as such.”
Jauregui has received backlash for speaking her mind before but every time she lets it be known that sometimes she really just does not care. Of course if she was in the wrong, she admits it and apologizes, but she stands by her words. She is not afraid to be deemed as “problematic” and still gives her love to those who label her as such, hoping they can expand their minds and learn to see her perspective.
Lauren, we applaud you, not only for coming out, but for always speaking out for those who may not have the courage to do so. You know you have an influence on others, you know you have a huge platform and fan following but you don’t use that privilege for mediocrity, you use that to educate and expand peoples minds. That’s exactly what more young artists should be doing. The Harmonizers are so lucky to have a girl like you to look up to.
