FILM REVIEW: Spy

Melissa McCarthy is at her funniest best in this action comedy.

The Mike and Molly actress plays Susan Cooper a CIA agent who’s only field experience is guiding her fantasy boyfriend Bradley Fine (Jude Law) through his missions.

But when all the agents covers are blown, it is down to Susan to become an agent.

Donning hysterical disguises McCarthy shines in her best role since The Heat.

Funny from start to finish SPY also sees Jason Statham star as dumb witted rogue agent Rick Ford with hysterical consequences as he tries to save the day.

The funniest performances come from Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham and Miranda Hart, who does well in her first Hollywood movie role.

Also keep your eyes open for a brilliant cameo appearance from rapper 50 Cent.
