As anticipation continues to grow in the lead up to the release of her debut album ’The Lost Ones’, pop powerhouse Florrie this week reveals her brand new single, ‘Kissing In The Cold’.
Serving as the second song to be released from the record, the stunning track sees the super-talented, multi-instrumentalist reflect upon a past relationship, and contemplate how things might have unfolded had she and her partner met at another point in their lives.
“This song is my favourite from the new album, and is both full of hope and longing,” Florrie says of the emotive pop ballad. “I think it’s something everyone has been through at some point in their lives; looking back and wondering if they made the right decision.”
Shot by Archie Campbell, and filmed on location in Northampton, the singles accompanying music video (edited by Joe Desantis) sees a slightly pensive, and forlorn Florrie walk the empty city streets at dusk, reflecting the meaningful story of the track, whilst performing its poignant and heartfelt lyrics to camera.
Commenting on the the clip, the ‘Borderline’ singer says: “I really wanted to create that feeling of nostalgia, a hazy memory that pops into your head when you’re just falling asleep.”
“For me these are the times when I’m reminded of those distant happy memories of early relationships, when nothing really mattered but you had no idea what you were doing! Also shoutout to the people of Northampton who offered to help at every street corner we turned!”

Set to drop on Friday, June 14th via BMG and Xenomania Records, ‘The Lost Ones’ promises to encapsulate all of the “breathtaking highs” and “devastating lows” experienced by Florrie throughout the course of the last decade, as she fearlessly battled industry expectations and triumphed against adversity to establish her own, unique artistic identity.
Written and produced predominantly by Florrie and Xenomania founder Brian Higgins (Sugababes, S Club, The Saturdays), the album also sees the singer collaborate with hit-maker, Takura Tendayi (Rihanna, Chase & Status), on a collection of tracks that promise to resonate with a generation of young people looking to find their place in the world.
In more exciting news, Florrie has announced she is to play two new headline shows this spring, one at The Mercury Lounge in New York City on June 3rd, and the second at The Courtyard Theatre in London on June 20th.
Tickets for both gigs will be available from 3pm BST here.
