It’s been well over a decade since we saw a new episode of ‘Friends’ on our TV screens. After much deliberation and it being highly anticipated, the cast are finally reuniting to make a reunion special that will air on NBC.
The cast of ‘Friends’ will reunite for a two-hour special after NBC announced at the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Pasadena on Wednesday, 13th January, 2016.
It’s said that the special will be a tribute to Friends’ comedy director James Burrows who recently shot his 1,000th episode of television,
All six original cast members — Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry — are on board for the reunion which has delighted fans of all ages around the world. In the past it proved difficult to pull all six of them in, with one or more being hesitant behind the scenes.
When NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt was asked if the network would have six to appear in the same room together or whether the special will have them split up throughout the episode. ‘I’m hoping all six will be in the same room at the same time. I’m not sure we can logistically pull it off,’ Greenblatt told reporters.
At this stage, we don’t really care about logistics, we’re getting a reunion special and that’s all that matters, right?
Matt LeBlanc, that is known for his role as Joey, recently tweeted this and sent fans into a frenzy.
Should be a good time! https://t.co/5mrWPJkD3R
