Tel Aviv-based songwriter Gadee drops his vibrant, indie-pop anthem, “Running Blind.” an infectious track that showcases his grand songwriting talent.
Throughout his musical journey, Gadee has explored various roles, including playing with different bands and lending his expertise as a sound engineer, lighting technician, and recording engineer.
In 2018, Gadee took on the roles of lead singer, writer, and composer in three distinct bands: Kick the Habit, The Molech, and Mashagane Public. His musical abilities flourished during this period, earning him recognition and a nomination as an official artist of MTA (Music Under New York) in 2019.
While working in renowned studios across New York, Gadee found solace in the streets, performing as a busker, and lending his skills to recording sessions for prominent artists. Eventually, he embarked on his own musical journey, recording his original compositions. These captivating tracks caught the attention of American record labels, signaling a promising breakthrough, only to be disrupted by the unfortunate arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Faced with the challenges posed by the pandemic, Gadee decided to return to Israel, seeking solace in his homeland. Determined to make the most of his time, he devoted himself to compiling the songs he had written over the years into a cohesive album. His performances garnered attention, capturing the interest of Universal Music Group Israel, who offered him a distribution contract.
“Running Blind” opens on tight, gleaming guitars rolling into a tasty, mid-tempo rhythm made up of a fat, rounded bassline, and crisp percussion.
