UGH! Looks like The 1975 have themselves a little bit of a setback while on the North American leg of their tour to promote their latest album, ‘I like I when you sleep for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it’.

Drummer, George Daniel, took a drunken tumble while getting off the tour bus in Kansas City, which resulted in a broken shoulder and him unable to continue playing for at least a few shows to allow him to recover.

Fans were first given the news via frontman, Matty Healy’s Twitter and further explained by their manager, Jamie Oborne:

. @Gdans1975 is ok, he's just sad he's gonna miss some shows over next few weeks while his shoulder heals. Slipped getting off tour bus…

Matty Healy even further explained the situation at their Tulsa show:

But like Matty said, the good news is that the tour won’t be canceled and will continue on! As a matter of fact, the band pulled drummer, Freddy Sheed of their opening act, The Japanese House, to fill in. Freddy has some pretty big shoes to fill but he put on quite an impressive performance at their Tulsa show for only having less than 24 hours to learn the whole The 1975 set! George himself was even in awe of how amazing that was:

Hero indeed for saving the tour from being postponed and keeping dedicated fans from being disappointed. As much of a good job that Freddy did, we do wish for a fast and easy recovery for George. The band just isn’t the same without him!
