The Hairspray Live! event is less than two months away and NBC is treating all the exciting fans with an exclusive first look at the cast.
Newcomer Maddie Baillio, who will be portraying the female lead Tracy Turnblad, tells PEOPLE Magazine, “I still can’t believe this is happening. It’s like a dream.”
Opposite Baillio, Ariana Grande, Kristen Chenoweth and Jennifer Hudson will play Penny Pingleton, Velma von Tussle, and Motormouth Maybelle, respectively. The live television performance will also star Shahadi Wright Joseph as Little Inez, Ephraim Sykes as Seaweed Stubbs, Garrett Clayton as Link Larkin, Harvey Fierstein as Edna Turnblad, Martin Short as Wilbur Turnblad, Dove Cameron as Amber von Tussle and Derek Hough as Corny Collins.
Hairspray Live! will premiere on December 7 on NBC.
