Swedish superstar Kygo is on his way to become one of the most popular DJ’s of this time, if he isn’t already, to be quite fair. After selling millions with his debut singles, being featured on official remixes of global smash hits such as The Weeknd’s “Starboy” and touring the world, Kygo is now gearing up for round two.
And round two is going to be even better than the first one.
The Norwegian DJ has revealed fresh details about his upcoming release on his Instagram page. He posted a picture of the new single’s official artwork with the caption “First Time”. The post contains himself and, hold on to your seat belts now, the British superstar Ellie Goulding. According to Kygo, the new track will drop this Friday and we could not be more excited.
If you aren’t already thrilled for this release, you will be when you hear who was responsible for the songwriting. “First Time” was written by Shy Martin (who brought you global pop hits such as The Chainsmokers’ “All We Know” as well as Mike Perry’s “The Ocean”), Jenson Vaughan (responsible for OMI’s “Hula Hoop” for instance), Jonas Kalisch (Alma’s “Chasing Highs”) as well as Alexsej Vlasenko and Fanny Hultmann.
It’s going to be pop perfection, especially since we will hear Ellie’s heavenly vocals on it.
“First Time” arrives as the second single off of Kygo’s second studio album. It follows the highly successful lead single “It Ain’t Me” which is currently taking over the charts by storm.
