Gina and Mazz Murray have been announced as the hosts for next months WhatsOnStage Awards.

Set to take place on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at the iconic London Palladium, the annual ceremony – which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary – will once again honour excellence in theatre and the arts, both here in London’s West End and beyond.

Co-produced with creative directors Alex Parker and Damian Sandys, the event will see a series of winners crowned across a variety of different categories, alongside exclusive live performances from top stage talent accompanied by a 24-piece orchestra.

Unique among theatre awards, all winners are entirely voted for by the public, making them a reflection of popular opinion rather than industry insiders’ decisions. Voting for this years event closed earlier this week.

    WhatsOnStage Awards

Established in 2001, the WhatsOnStage Awards highlight the best performances, productions, and creative contributions in theatre.

Key categories include Best Actor and Actress in a Play, Best Actor and Actress in a Musical, Best Supporting Performances, Best New Play and Best New Musical, Best Direction, Best West End Show, Best Takeover in a Role, as well as several technical categories like lighting, sound, and choreography.

In recent years, the ceremony has celebrated diversity, emerging talent, and blockbuster productions, most notably musicals like Hamilton, Six the Musical, and Come From Away.

Adored by fans up and down the country, sisters Gina and Mazz Murray both have some major theatre credits to their names!

Gina, who has long had a strong presence in London’s West End, has won rave reviews for her appearances in Chicago, The Full Monty, and Love Me Tender, whilst sister Mazz has won a legion of fans for playing roles such as Killer Queen in the London production of We Will Rock You, and Donna Sheridan in Mamma Mia!.
