Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is all about girl power in her latest Instagram post.
Since going public with her romance with Liam Payne, Cheryl has been trolled on social media with cruel taunts about the age gap between the pair (what difference this makes to people, we don’t know).
The loved up couple have been publicly shamed by trolls over the 10 year age gap between the pop stars. Cheryl is 32, and and Liam is 22.
Cheryl is also regularly abused online over her weight, what she wears, how she does her hair etc, and it looks like the pretty brunette has had enough.
Writing on Instagram the Geordie babe said: “It can be so hard at times being a girl, for sooo many reasons! But we don’t have to make it harder for each other.. Why do we still feel the need to do that ?? I don’t understand it. I have always been a Girls girl, and love other strong women. That is why I surround myself with them, and that is why I try to empower others. Trying to pull another person down, only speaks volumes about your character.! And not a thing about theirs.. There’s nothing more powerful or beautiful than an inspiring, strong women that you can look up to or turn to… Be one!!!”(sic)
The X Factor judge accompanied her inspiring caption with a photo saying that girls compete with each other and women empower one another.
We couldn’t agree with Cheryl more. Surely the days of women bashing are behind us? Shouldn’t we all celebrate other women’s achievements? Instead of trying to tear each other down we should be lifting each other up, supporting one another, inspiring each other to follow our dreams.
Be a strong woman, empower each other, celebrate our differences, instead of picking out our differences.
Women have the power to be anything we want, and ALL women should stand side by side and support one another.
