In 2016, Beyoncé became the most-nominated woman in Grammy Awards history and even before the broadcast started, she was already part of the top 10 Grammy winners of all time.
The 59th Grammys was a night for girl empowerment with the performances by Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and Adele leaving us shook.
By the end of the show Beyoncé beat both Kanye and Jay-Z, each with 21 wins, and became the 7th most awarded artist in Grammy history. Beyoncé took 2 awards home and Adele won all 5 she was nominated for. Now they hold 22 and 15 awards respectively, though they kind of share Best Album this year.
