Lauren Potter played Becky Jackson, a cheerleader, on the popular Fox show, Glee.
This Sunday, Lauren went on a picnic date with her longtime boyfriend, Timothy Spear. Lauren and Timothy’s parents have known each other since they were babies. Potter and Spear were both born with Down Syndrome, and participated in classes at the Children’s Center in Riverside. They have been friends for some time but their relationship soon took a romantic turn. According to PEOPLE, a while back, Potter had ended a previous relationship and that is when Timothy asked her out. They have been together since.
Robin Sinkhorn, Potter’s mom, also revealed to PEOPLE, that Spear proposed on a picnic date in Laguna Beach, California, next to the ocean. She states, “He picked out the ring, made payments on it, and then planned the picnic and the moment to get down on one knee to ask her to promise to be his one-and-only and marry him when they are ready.” She added that the couple then watched the sunset together.
