Goldie is set to bring one of the most ambitious performances of his career to London’s Royal Festival Hall this autumn, unveiling a new orchestral project titled Dare To Dream as part of the 2026 EFG London Jazz Festival.

The pioneering drum-and-bass artist will headline the festival on Saturday, November 14th with two special performances at the Southbank Centre, presenting a bespoke production created exclusively for the event. Billed as a one-off experience, Dare To Dream promises to merge orchestral composition, improvisation, electronic music, and the sonic innovations that have defined Goldie’s career for more than three decades.

The performances will see Goldie joined by The Elysian Collective and choir, alongside a lineup of guest performers that has yet to be revealed. Organisers are describing the evening as a celebration of one of Britain’s most restless and inventive creative forces, with surprises planned throughout the show.

The event could also offer fans a glimpse into Goldie’s future. According to those in the know, the musician is expected to debut previously unheard material from an upcoming project that has not yet been announced.

For an artist whose career has consistently defied categorisation, the scale of Dare To Dream feels like a natural progression. Since emerging as one of the key architects of drum and bass in the early Nineties, Goldie has repeatedly pushed beyond the confines of electronic music, embracing visual art, acting, classical composition, and large-scale orchestral work.

His 1995 debut album ‘Timeless’ remains one of the defining records in British electronic music history, helping elevate drum and bass from underground clubs into the wider cultural conversation. The album’s fusion of breakbeats, sweeping arrangements, and emotional depth transformed perceptions of what the genre could achieve and continues to influence producers today.

In the years since, the ‘Inner City Life’ hitmaker has frequently explored the intersection of classical and electronic music, including projects such as ‘Sine Tempore’, further demonstrating his determination to expand the possibilities of his art rather than settle into familiar territory.

That spirit appears to be at the heart of Dare To Dream. By combining orchestral musicians, choral arrangements, improvisation, and the bass-heavy foundations that first made his name, the production aims to showcase the full breadth of Goldie’s creative vision in a setting befitting one of the UK’s most enduring musical innovators.

With a roster of mystery guests still under wraps and the promise of new music on the horizon, Dare To Dream is already shaping up to be one of the standout events of this year’s London Jazz Festival.
