The first release from Amali Golden’s new musical project, GOLDS, ‘Broken Wings’ is the piece of mellow pop you need in your life.
“It gets exhausting trying to act like there’s nothing wrong […] it ain’t like you see on TV, yeah I’m falling”, GOLDS coos over her soft-electronic production.
The first bold musical step from Golden, with only a few brief covers on social media to her name, ‘Broken Wing’ is a pretty perfect first offering. The Sydney-based artist has also acted in TV shows Bloom and Home and Away, as well as making a cameo appearance in Thor: Ragnarok.
‘Broken Wings’ comes with production from Beau Golden, you may know him from Ruel’s musical team, with mixing and mastering from Sean Carey and Evren Göknar.
Accompanied by a glimmering Giulia McGauran-led music video, ‘Broken Wings’ really is the uncovered gem of this week’s new releases. What’s next from GOLDS remains to be seen, but we cannot wait.
