Just over a year ago, singer/songwriter and guitarist Gunnar Gehl hit the stage for his official live debut, blowing the doors off Seattle’s 1,000-capacity Neptune Theatre with PRETTYMUCH. Now, at just 19-years-old and gearing up for the release of his forthcoming debut project, Gunnar is working around the clock with hit songwriter-producers Julian Bunetta and John Ryan (One Direction, Maroon 5, Harry Styles) as well as The Monsters & Strangerz (Halsey, Camila Cebllo, 5 Seconds of Summer, Nick Jonas) — an A-list contingent he refers to as “people I’d dreamed of working with my entire life.”
On his new song “For Your Love,” released on Big Machine Records, Gunnar instantly shows the incredible impact of his heart-on-sleeve songwriting. Co-written with GRAMMY® Award winning songwriter/musician Dan Wilson, who’s lent his talents to iconic tracks like Adele’s “Someone like You,” “For Your Love” unfolds in graceful acoustic-guitar work and achingly soulful vocals — an element so striking, several of Gunnar’s collaborators ended up in tears upon hearing the recording for the first time.
