Gwen Stefani is the latest superstar to take on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke. The singer joined The Late Late Show host for the popular segment, singing some of her most well-known hits as James drove to work.

Gwen slayed the car sing-along with James, entertaining us with versions of ‘Don’t Speak’, ‘Rich Girl’ and ‘Used To Love You’. Gwen even broke down that incredible tongue twisting bit in ‘Sweet Escape’ – now we know that “Cause I’ve been acting like sour milk all on the floor, it’s your fault you didn’t shut the refrigerator, maybe that’s the reason I’ve been acting so cold?” are the correct lyrics!

Chatting in-between the songs, James was keen to point out how Gwen was like Benjamin Button, in the fact that she still looks as youthful today as she did when she first started out in the music industry. James said: “You are not aging. I feel like you’re getting younger. You are just ageless. My wife is going, ‘I just want to know what she does. What’s her regime?’ I feel like I’ve aged in the past year about 10 years,” he said. Gwen replied, “What happened was my life blew up. After that I kind of started falling in love. Then I wrote a whole record about that. That’s like what the facelift is, I think!”

James also mentioned Gwen’s love of emojis and got her to re-enact some of the most popular ones, including the dancing lady in the red dress, the angry emoji and the kissy face. James also mentioned the eggplant, although neither of them decided to try and re-enact that!

James then entered the HOV 4, meaning that in order to use the carpool lane, there had to be at least four people in the car. Luckily for Gwen and James, they had a few showbiz friends at hand in the neighbourhood – enter George Clooney and Julia Roberts!

The four then proceeded to sing ‘Hollaback Girl’, which was quite possibly one of the most surreal Carpool Karaoke moments ever – we never thought we’d see George Clooney singing ‘This s*** is bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S’!

Our new favourite carpool dream team finished off with a passionate version of Queen’s ‘We Are The Champions’, which was quite fitting as they are definite candidates for the best Carpool Karaoke ever!
