Halloweentown Comes To Life In October

October’s finally here, and that means it’s time for what’s really important. Halloween movies.

Maybe you’re a fan of the lighthearted family movies, like Nightmare Before Christmas or It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Or maybe you’re more into the scary films, like Paranormal Activity or The Ring. And of course, we can’t forget the classics, like Frankenstein and Beetlejuice.

But no matter what your style is, everyone can agree that no Halloween is complete without at least one Halloweentown marathon.

The original Halloweentown premiered on Disney in 1998 and quickly became a holiday classic. It follows a family of witches as they set off to defeat evil forces that have threatened to take over their town. In the film’s sequels, we see the characters grow up and face new challenges, like crushes, family fights, and high school.

St. Helen’s, Oregon was used as the set for Halloweentown, and every October, the city transforms itself into a Halloween paradise. They bring the original set to life and entertain visitors with a number of classic Halloween celebrations. From a masquerade ball, to a scarecrow contest, to haunted hay rides, there’s something for fans of all ages to enjoy.

And the best part? Kimberly J. Brown, better known as Marnie, attends the festivities, too! She’ll even be in town on October 8th for one of the most exciting events of the month, the giant pumpkin lighting ceremony.

If you live in the area, make sure you take a day in October to check out Halloweentown and all it has to offer. You can purchase tickets for a number of the events throughout the month here. You can even buy tickets to meet Marnie herself!
