This week has been rich with new music, and here is another one that you will no doubt become addicted to. Halo Circus is transitioning into an electronic band and this single is certainly helping them pave the way. “Narcissist” is the first single to be taken from their upcoming second studio album “Robots and Wranglers”.
This single is the return of Halo Circus. They are now a duo consisting of Allison Iraheta and Matthew Hager, stripping away the rock band aesthetics and bringing a brand new electronic sound to the table. This track totally defines what their new direction is all about.
Both members of this duo has had lengthy careers. Allison Iraheta is most famously known for being on season eight of American Idol where she was a finalist, coming fourth. She went on to release a solo album before forming Halo Circus. As for Matthew Hager, he is a multi-platinum record producer, having worked with the likes of the Backstreet Boys, Mandy Moore, and Duran Duran, amongst others. Now, as a duo, Halo Circus is ready to make waves amongst electronic-pop, and we are totally loving the new sound.

This single definitely shows the new direction this duo has gone in, and we’re sure it is the perfect transition single as they gear up to release their brand new album. The song leaps out at every listener and really makes a statement.
Talking about the song to Billboard, Allison Iraheta said: “We spent every day on tour on our phones on social media. You get to a point where you wake up, turn to the phone and you’re immersed in that world. Whether you want to be filled in on the daily news and the world’s opinions on it or not, it’s all screaming in your face. All the time. That being said, it is also incredibly fun to sing.”
“Narcissist” is available to download and stream right now. Halo Circus’ forthcoming album, “Robots and Wranglers” is expected to drop next month. Alongside the release of this single, the duo also announced a 24-date US tour, starting in March, in promotion of the album.
