A day after performing in Seoul, South Korea for her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom world tour, Halsey met up with K-pop group BTS and shared pictures from the encounter on social media.
“You know there was no way I’d come all the way to Seoul without seeing these guys,” she captioned the photo, which shows her posing with six members of the group: RM, V, Suga, Jungkook, Jimin and J-Hope. The only member to be left out of the photo op was Jin. Some fans speculated he could have been the one to snap the photos, but that belief was quickly turned down when Halsey credited photographer @donslens on Instagram.

Halsey has been friends with BTS ever since the two met for the first time at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. During that year’s BBMAs, Halsey took home several awards, including Top Dance/Electronic Song, Top Hot 100 Song and Top Collaboration, all for her single with The Chainsmokers, titled “Closer.” BTS also won that year for Top Social Artist, beating Justin Bieber’s six-year reign.
After Halsey’s photos with BTS spread on social media, she went on Twitter to acknowledge her close friendship with the group’s members. “We have been friends for almost 2 years,” she wrote in response to a fan’s tweet. “I am so lucky to know them and they inspire me so much.”
