Halsey Releases Collaboration with Big Sean and Stefflon Don

After the release of her second studio album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom in 2017, which peaked at number one on the US Billboard 200, Halsey has dropped Alone as the third single from it. Changing things up from the album version, Alone has now been released as a collaboration with American rapper Big Sean and rising star Stefflon Don and we think the result is incredible!

The song begins with the same verse and chorus sung on the original album version, before Big Sean’s feature verse and then an appearance from Stefflon Don. Prior to the release, many fans speculated that the remix of Alone could not compare to the original version however, we think that the remix most certainly is a banger!

The release of the single follows Halsey’s success on collaboration Him & I with boyfriend G-Eazy, which featured on his album The Beautiful & Damned. She has also featured on many amazing collaborations with other artists such as the UK number 1 Closer with The Chainsmokers and Strangers with Fifth Harmony star Lauren Jauregui.

Hopeless Fountain Kingdom is heavily inspired by the William Shakespeare play Romeo & Juliet – which Halsey is clearly a fan of, having the play’s famous line “these violent delights have violent ends” tattooed onto her arm. This inspiration is evident in opening track The Prologue, where the prologue from the play is spoken, and in the music video for Now or Never, which documents a gender-swapped version of the Romeo & Juliet as pictured by Halsey.

Halsey has also teased a music video release for the new single, tweeting about taking a break in filming with Big Sean and Stefflon Don. After seeing her other incredible music videos, we can’t wait to see this one!
