After becoming world famous on Broadway, hit musical Hamilton is making its way across the pond to the West End.

Hamilton, a musical about founding father Alexander Hamilton, has blown up recently and the hype is rising every day. Lin-Manuel Miranda’s talents have shone in writing this well-loved musical and the had work of writing it has really paid off! The show is up for 16 Tony awards this weekend, we’re sure that it will receive many of these!

The excitement hit earlier when it was announced that the show was moving to London’s West End. Although we have to wait for more than a year until it reaches the UK’s capital, we’re prepared to wait for that!

In a interview about the show hitting the West End, Miranda said “We’ll get the same questions: ‘It’s so American. Will it play?’ But hopefully if we’ve done our jobs well like we did on [In The] Heights, this story of revolution and telling your own story will also play well over there as well.

“And also, we really take the p*** out of King George, so I can’t wait to see how that plays.”

After huge success in America, with even the Obama family loving it, we know that people will love it!

The set date is October 2017 in the Victoria Palace. Producer Sir Cameron Macintosh is spending £30m preparing the venue for the show, and the website for the UK production launches on Monday!
