A very teasing trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s latest film, ‘The Hateful Eight’ has surfaced online.
Like any great trailer, the footage gives you just enough to get excited but not so much that you feel like you don’t need to see the film, an increasingly common trend with trailers in recent years.
We see a bit of all of the star studded cast that includes Tim Roth, Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Kurt Russell just to name a few. It’s Jackson that gives the most memorable moments though, expertly delivering Tarantino’s super stylish dialogue.
The film appears to be a western, which is no surprise when you think that Tarantino’s last film ‘Django Unchained’ was his biggest hit and Tarantino himself is a huge fan of the genre.
The Hateful Eight, which just so happens to be Tarantino’s 8th feature, was not without its problems in production. Tarantino, known for classic films like ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Reservoir Dogs’, shelved the project very early on in production after a version of the script was leaked online. The ‘Django Unchained’ director was deeply saddened by this quoted saying “I’m very, very depressed. I finished a script, a first draft, and I didn’t mean to shoot it until next winter, a year from now. I gave it to six people, and apparently it’s gotten out today.”
However now we see the film is being made and if it’s anything like Tarantino’s prior work, it should make for a good watch.
