Congratulations are in order for Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, as they’ve announced that they are expecting their first child.
The couple, often referred to as Speidi, confirmed the pregnancy to US Weekly and revealed the moment in which Heidi broke the happy news to her husband.
Spencer said that he woke up one day to find Heidi “just standing there. The look on her face, I can’t even describe it. She was literally glowing. I thought she was about to say she made muffins or banana bread.”
However, Heidi had something a lot more exciting to say. “Heidi said, ‘I’m pregnant’, I was like, ‘Whoa, that’s way more exciting than banana bread!’” Spencer continued.
Heidi added that she felt overwhelmed and started crying. The reality star is 12 weeks pregnant and is due on October 19. She revealed that she’s suffering from morning sickness but the feeling of being pregnant overrides any sickness. “I’ve had really bad morning sickness since the beginning, but I’ve never been so happy to feel so sick! Every time I feel awful, I remember why and I’m just euphoric. It’s so fulfilling, and I’m mostly just grateful. I’ve been with the love of my life for 10 years, and now we’re starting our own family.”
Speidi rose to fame as characters in the popular TV series The Hills. The pair have been dating since 2007 and were at the centre of numerous explosive storylines in the show. In 2009, Heidi and Spencer got married. Since then, the couple have appeared on numerous reality shows, including two stints on Celebrity Big Brother UK.
