The name on everyone’s lips this year, HRVY, finishes 2018 with one final release.
‘I Don’t Think About You’ is HRVY’s third single release since 2017’s ‘Personal’ from the Talk To Ya EP, following the spicy ‘Hasta Luego’ and funky ‘I Wish You Were Here’.
The acoustic guitar-driven track is HRVY’s most stripped back release to date, a simple ode to moving on from a relationship, his vocals sounding smoother than ever. It’s another bold, mature step in sound that shows an artist really coming into his own.
The 19-year-old started teasing the single on his social media accounts earlier this week, much in the same way he slipped fans the title of ‘I Wish You Were Here’ in an Instagram caption without them knowing. In an Instagram story last night he said:
“This one is for you guys. Thanks so much for being so supportive – it’s been an amazing 2018. I wanted to release something just before Christmas because there is going to be a gap between my next release.”
“I wanted to leave you guys with a little song to listen to over the Christmas break – this one is for you.”
“It’s a long time between now and when I’m releasing something in Jan..”, he trailed off when celebrating the track at midnight before teasing a UK and Europe tour for 2019.
As far as this year goes for pop stars, none have enjoyed the rise that HRVY has seen. CelebMix recently tracked the incredible journey that the young star and his team have worked so hard on after seeing the singer impress in Paris. HRVY was recently named on BBC Radio 1’s Brit List and stunned at the radio show’s annual Teen Awards.
Currently recording in Stockholm, HRVY is working with some big name producers. A huge headline show at London’s Eventim Apollo on December 16th, with some of the star’s closest friends in the music industry, is next up – a landmark night for him.
With more and more fans joining the millions in the singer’s incredible fanbase, 2019 looks set to be a mammoth year for the pop star.
