Ian Harding, widely known for his role as our favorite English teacher, Ezra Fitz, on Freeform’s ‘Pretty Little Liars,” has just taken to social media to announce some amazing news!

Much like his expressive PLL character, this star is stepping into the world of writing and we could not be more excited! Ian Harding is set to release his essay collection Odd Birds in May 2017, and we can’t wait for him to showcase his offscreen talent.

Harding talked with Entertainment Weekly about his upcoming project, and as soon as the news of his new book dropped, he excitedly tweeted a confirmation along with a quick Instagram post of the cover.

As EW described, Odd Birds “Will chronicle Harding’s life in Hollywood — including anecdotes from PLL — through the lens of bird watching, making it a fascinating and funny journey for readers of both celebrity memoirs and nature books.”

Harding won’t be the first of the PLL stars to become a published author, and we hope he won’t be the last! Co-star Keegan Allen and author of Life.Love.Beauty tweeted his words of congratulations to Harding soon after the announcement.

Ian Harding expressed that he was “So proud of this,” and we can assure you that we are just as proud. We are so excited for Ian and his accomplishments and we wish him the best on his journey as an author.

If you are as happy as us, you can pre-order Odd Birds now on the Barnes & Noble site as well as Amazon. Also, be sure to tweet us your thoughts at @CelebMix.
