00s indie pop darlings The Ting Tings get us all in the mood for summer by embracing sun-kissed West Coast 1970s harmonies and exquisitely turned arrangements, on their brand new single ‘Good People Do Bad Things’.
Musically inspired by the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, Dire Straits, Joni Mitchell and The Eagles, the sun kissed track is a song about guilt, forgiveness and making peace with the darkness we all have in ourselves, lovingly sung to a child or friend.
Serving as the follow up to 2024’s ‘Down’ and ‘Danced on the Wire’, the single lands as the latest cut to be lifted off of the duos upcoming fourth studio album ‘HOME’, their first in six years.

After frequently relocating during record cycles, from the UK to Los Angeles to Berlin, band members Jules De Martino and Katie White settled in Ibiza and have been there for many years. They turned to their childhood musical touchstones for solace after giving birth to their daughter during the pandemic.
When the band, who have always created and produced their own music, entered their home studio, they asked themselves a straightforward question. What felt nice in this new environment of deep uncertainty? The resultant songs can be found on the recently released album ‘HOME’.
