There’s a new bunch of hell raisers in town! The initial casting, alongside additional dates, has been announced for the upcoming 2024 UK tour of Bonnie and Clyde.
Eastenders star Danny Hatchard will alternate in the role of Clyde Barrow along with Alex James-Hatton (Heathers, Newsies). Katie Tonkinson Bat Out of Hell) will star as Bonnie Parker. Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley and Hollyoaks star Daisy Wood-Davis will be sharing the role of Blanche Barrow.
Marvin ‘Buck’ Barrow will be played by Sam Ferriday (Heathers, The Cher Show, and Jersey Boys), whilst The Voice UK’s Jaz Ellington will play The Preacher from February 22 to July 27. Completing the cast for now is Nate Landskroner (Waitress, Heathers), who will alternate the role of Clyde during midweek matinee performances.
A whole host of new locations, including Manchester, Sunderland, Bath, Bradford, Birmingham, Portsmouth, Brighton, High Wycombe, Newcastle, Sheffield, Bromley and Northampton have also been announced, with further casting (including an alternate Bonnie) to be revealed in due course.
The UK tour comes following two successful West End runs at The Arts Theatre and The Garrick Theatre respectively. Bonnie and Clyde the Musical tells the story of two American criminals who became notorious for their exploits. The musical features music by Tony nominee Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Tony and Oscar winner Don Black, and a book by Emmy Award nominee Ivan Menchell.
