We caught up with one of our favourite artists Tiggi Hawke ahead of her latest single release ‘Remedy’. We LOVE this song and we’re certain it’s going to be a favourite of many other people too. Listen to the song here:
Hi Tiggi! How are you? We hope you’re having a great summer!
I’m so good, thank you! This summer has been insane in the best of ways, I really don’t want it to end!
We’re loving Remedy! Can you tell us a little more about the song?
Of course! I was sent the instrumental track by Cowens Brothers and I loved it, they’re so talented and it had this amazing energy to it. I was in LA and I was super lucky to be able to work with Polina on the topline, who is an incredible writer and singer, and we really wanted to write something with a story behind it.
What is the overall message of Remedy?
The message is actually very heartfelt, and a situation I’m sure everyone’s been in at some point whether we knew it or not! It’s about loving someone and wanting to help them, although they may think they don’t need help, something I personally have experienced from both sides, reassuring them that things can work out and showing them that way forward.
How would you describe it in 3 words?
Empowering, uplifting, honest!
What was it like collaborating with Cowens Brothers?
It was great, they are 2 of the nicest people I’ve ever met as well as being amazing producers and DJ’s. We finally met face-to-face in Belgium to film the music video, everything before then had been done over email, and it was so much fun to meet and sing Remedy for the video!
Who would your dream collaboration be with?
100% would have to be Ryan Tedder. One. Hundred. Percent. He’s such a talent and his style of writing is incredible, plus he seems like such a lovely guy, so basically perfect collaboration combo?!
Do you have any summer gigs planned?
I’ve just come back from a couple of gigs in Spain and I’m really looking forward to some in London next as well as around Europe. I adore performing, it’s the perfect moment of all the work everyone has done coming together and it’s impossible not to enjoy it. New music, gigs and pun-tastic insta posts… What more could you need?! It’s going to be a really exciting couple of months with new tracks, I can’t wait to share it with everyone!
