Back in February, it was announced that Ryan O’Shaughnessy would represent Ireland with “Together” at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon this May. You can read all the details from our article of the announcement here. Up until a couple of days ago, we had yet to hear the song, however, RTE radio debuted the song on Friday much to fans excitement. “Together” is a soft, moving ballad which Ryan co-wrote alongside Mark Caplice and Laura Elizabeth Hughes.
The official music video for “Together” has also been released, and the vibe totally fits the melody and story of the song. The song describes the love of a former lover, and the video to accompany this features two men on a late night city wander, dancing through the streets.

In the past four years, Ireland has failed to qualify for the grand final but we are rooting for the country to do well this year. Ryan will perform in the first semi-final on May 8, and we can’t wait to find out if he can change Ireland’s recent fortunes, and return the country to its former glory.
