If you didn’t know already, we chose Jade Thirlwall as our 2015 pick for Business Woman of the Year – you can check out the article by clicking here!
But now, we’re turning our lens to the lovely Little Mix member in a more in-depth manner. Before Jade Thirlwall was put together in to one of the most influential and powerful girl groups of all time, the lovely girl had auditioned for X-factor a few times prior. Check out the video below featuring her audition back in 2008 at only 15 years of age.
While she didn’t get to advance later on, she didn’t give up and tried again in 2010. Unfortunately the odds weren’t in her favor. It was until her 2011 audition that the magic in Jade appeared more stronger than ever.
Jade looked more confident and more secure of herself and is easily shown through her short featured X-factor audition (you can see the other girls’ auditions as well!)

After this, Jade’s world changed immensely. Not being put through as a solo artist, judges Kelly Rowland and Tulisa saw potential in her to be in a girl group with Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
So why did we bring all this up? Well, to show how Jade Thirlwall has grown into a more beautiful and graceful woman. While moments of insecurities can pop up, it’s important to know that we are only human and we aren’t perfect.
But looking at Jade has made the world realize that it’s important to never give up on your dreams – and of course to ALWAYS be persistent. Never be afraid to reach for the stars and NEVER let others tell you that you can’t achieve something.
Life’s failures can get us a little teary-eyed, but you HAVE to pick yourself up – and Jade Thirlwall has done that. And we’re so glad to have seen her grow from her X-factor days.
Some things can come unexpectedly and make you the happiest person on the planet, and we’re sure Jade is on that level of pure happiness right now.
Not only that, her philanthropic ways have inspired her fans worldwide. In addition, she is a proud LGBTQ supporter and has been quoted saying “I think if I were a gay man, I’d definitely be a drag queen”. She’s called RuPaul an idol and is very into gay culture as well.
Ms. Thirlwall overall is thoughtful, endearing, talented, but most importantly, courageous. A big, sincere round of applause for Jade and for not giving up on her dreams on becoming a pop star because now, she’s in a vocal girl group with three of her very best friends – how sweeter can life get?
Her musical influences and inspirations from people such as Diana Ross, The Supremes, En Vogue, etc, give Little Mix a more diverse appeal. Just like every other member, they all bring something positive to the table in a different way.
Thank you Jade for inspiring many people around the world to not give up. While it may seem as simple and cliche advice, one person’s support can change someone’s mindset entirely. At the end of the day, it’s all about giving a helping hand – and you are a perfect example of that. To many around the world, you ARE that helping hand.
Your friends and family are surely very proud of all your musical accomplishments and we are as well. (P.S. – Norma, you’ve raised a hard working daughter, and it shows!)
