The Late Late Show with James Corden never fails to make us laugh. Whether it’s the comedy skits or Carpool Karaoke, we find something new to smile about with every episode.
Earlier this week, we were treated to another Late Late Show highlight, courtesy of James and actress/singer extraordinaire Anne Hathaway. ‘Soundtrack to a Rom Com’ chronicles the journey of a romantic comedy relationship, all in the space of five minutes.
During the skit, James and Anne take us through the various stages of a rom com relationship, from the early stages, to heartbreak, to reigniting love. Referencing Notting Hill in reverse, James states: “I’m just a boy standing in front of a girl asking her to love him”. He then proceeds to introduce the 10-song, 9 different sets and zero cuts extravaganza.
During the skit, James and Anne belt out songs such as ‘Kiss Me’ by Sixpence None The Richer, ‘Hands To Myself’ by Selena Gomez, ‘All By Myself’ by Eric Carmen, and ‘Let’s Stay Together’ by Al Green, as they live out the ultimate rom com. There’s the initial first meeting, a steamy lift scene, the tragic break up scene and the ultimate reunion on an airplane.

This isn’t the first time James and Anne have teamed up for a Late Late Show skit. Last year, they took part in a Drop The Mic rap battle. As incredible as James was, Anne Hatha-slayed her way to be crowned the winner.
